Spider-Man wasn't ready
It has been a while since I wrote here.
Not because I was busy, exactly. The priority shifted.
I started a few projects and spent months working straight through the weekends.
That project is in its final stage now, so the weekends are coming back to me.
I relaunched the website while all of that was happening.
I still coach, but privately, and only a few people.
You cannot teach everyone.
It is not about the money. It is about whether there is a fit.
And it is fine when there isn't.
My job is to walk alongside someone, not ahead of them — and they have to be ready.
Which is what I actually want to write about this week.
There is a new Spider-Man film out, and I watched it recently for the first time.
Spoiler ahead.
He isn't ready.
He is handed a new set of abilities and he cannot control them.
So he fights the thing — and the thing he is fighting is the thing that could save him.
I sat there thinking about the entrepreneur's journey.
AI is the new skill set.
It is scary. I know it is.
But that is the way the market is moving, and adapting is what gives you a chance to stay in it.
So this is what I want to say to you.
If you are doing something that scares you, that is a good sign.
Don't lie in the comfortable zone forever.
Pick one new skill this month.
Set a target. Say what you want to accomplish. Then do it.
What is the skill you have been avoiding?
